OUR STORY
The WHY Behind Doggi
Doggi was founded in Paddington by someone who once felt exactly how many dog owners do now — confused, overwhelmed, and searching for answers that actually made sense.
With so much information out there, Doggi was created to make dog training make sense.
What began as Laura’s passion for understanding her own dogs has grown into a trusted destination for dogs and their owners.
Four years on, we’re incredibly proud of the community that has grown with Doggi — a community of dog lovers who are committed to helping them live life to the fullest through training, and value a safe, supportive space where dogs can learn, grow, and thrive.
Our Approach
We take a holistic, relationship-based approach to training, focusing on the overall relationship you have with your dog and the bigger picture of how you live together. We consider things such as breed, mental and physical outlets, sleep, diet, and more. When those needs are met, dogs are at their most balanced.
We prioritise structure, fulfilment, and boundaries — with the goal of creating a life of freedom with your dog, where you can take them anywhere and do anything together.
We help you understand your dog and create a lifestyle that works for both of you, while empowering you with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to continue building a better life with your dog. We guide owners with honesty and care, making progress feel achievable and realistic.
But it’s not just about the dogs. We believe connecting with people is just as important. Dog training should be a fun, positive experience that brings you closer together and leaves you feeling confident, happy, and supported.
Who We Serve
We work with dogs and owners at every stage of the journey, meeting you where you’re at and helping you move forward. We support dogs of all breeds, ages, and temperaments.
Whether you have a new puppy and want to start off on the right foot, a dog with behavioural challenges, or you simply want to learn more and build a better relationship with your dog — we’re here to help.
We also welcome owners who are looking for somewhere fun and fulfilling to send their dog, and who value the importance of safe, structured environment.
No matter your starting point, there is a place for you at Doggi — all we ask is that you’re committed to the process and ready to learn alongside your dog.
When we say destination, we mean an all-inclusive dog experience. If you have a question, need support, or want to provide the best possible life for your dog, you’ll find everything you need at Doggi. We support you every step of the journey, meeting you where you’re at and offering a range of services to suit different needs and stages.
Meet Laura
Doggi Founder
Laura is the founder of Doggi and the reason we do what we do every day. A dedicated dog mum to Mickey the Papillon, she has spent years deepening her knowledge of dog behaviour and psychology through study, hands-on experience, and real-world results to create something unlike anything else in Australia.
Her journey began with her own dogs over ten years ago. Winnie, a Cocker Spaniel rescued at just 10 months old, came to her with severe behavioural issues. Working through those challenges sparked Laura’s passion for understanding dog behaviour and psychology on a deeper level. Sadly, Winnie has since passed, along with her other dogs who helped shape this journey, Coco and Fray, but their legacy lives on through the work Laura does every day.
Laura has travelled to America twice and completed training with leading dog behaviourists from around the world, including Pack Life LA founder Samantha Johnson, Cheri Wulff Lucas, as well as Pack Leader University founder Ridge, and Your Favorite Dog Trainer founder Elizabeth Folly, among others.
Because of this journey, Laura truly understands the position many owners find themselves in and the challenges that can come with it. That’s why she has worked to build something special in Doggi, helping hundreds of dogs and their humans over the years live better lives together.
Meet the Team
Eliza
A lifelong lover of animals, Eliza joined the Doggi team over three years ago while studying a Bachelor of Economics. What began as a role during university quickly grew into a career, where she discovered a genuine passion for working with dogs and helping their owners better understand them.
She brings a thoughtful and practical approach to her role as a dog trainer and Assistant Manager, playing a key role in the day-to-day running of Doggi across operations, administration, and social media.
Eliza has completed further training with some of the world’s leading dog behaviourists and has travelled to the USA to train with Samantha Johnson of Pack Life LA, continuing to expand her knowledge and develop her skills.
Outside of Doggi, she is a proud sister to Pedro, a 13-year-old Miniature Fox Terrier, and Tiger, a 17-year-old tabby cat, and mum to Cowboy, her Chihuahua rescue.
